33 & Settled: Stepping Into My New Era

It’s my Jesus year—33—and this birthday feels different in the best way. I’m not just stepping into another year, I’m stepping into a whole new season of self.
I’m a new mom and now a wife—and let me tell you, that changes everything. I’m no longer in the space of needing to be seen or making a statement just to be noticed. I’ve got my man. I’ve got my family. I’ve built my foundation. I don’t need to “peacock” anymore.
Before, my style was all about boldness—neon colors, long statement nails, bright heels. I wanted you to see me, see my talent, see my presence. But now? I’m in a different kind of confidence. The queen of this household. I don’t have to announce it—I am it.
Now, I’m feeling monochromatic, earth tones, taupes, nudes—subtle, classic, powerful. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still pop out with my signature blue lip and statement accessories, but the energy has shifted. I’m moving differently.
This season is about settling into my power. Owning who I am without needing external validation. I’m not dressing to be seen—I’m dressing because I know who I am. And let’s be clear, that doesn’t mean I’m toning it down. It means I’m stepping fully into my essence—as a woman, a mother, a wife, and a boss.
So for my birthday dinner, I’m thinking of having everyone come dressed as me—because just like we are made in the image of God, they can be made in the image of me. (Listen, I know that might sound a little blasphemous, but He knows my heart. Amen.)
Here’s to 33, confidence, family, purpose, and a wardrobe that reflects exactly where I am in life.
Happy birthday to me! April 30th
